During our emergency appointment, we will take an x-ray of the affected area and diagnose the problem. And we’ll come up with a plan to get you out of pain. Usually, we can begin treatment that day to alleviate tooth, gum or jaw pain and we can give you a prescription right away.
If you do not see a convenient time available using the “book online” feature… simply call the office or email us and we will do our best to accommodate you immediately. No one should have to live with jaw, gum or tooth pain, and we’re committed to helping you as best we can.
There can be many different reasons for sudden pain, but the most common are…
Cavities are a bacterial infection that starts on the surface of the tooth and becomes deeper, eventually reaching the nerve of the tooth. When the nerve becomes infected, it will start hurting and the tooth will need a root canal. (Lots of people are afraid of root canals because they think its very painful… but at Enamel, our doctor knows the best techniques to numb the pain before he works on the tooth, so you can be comfortable.)
If you believe you have a cavity or a root infection, give our office a call now or book online so we can take care of you. If you put off treating cavities, the bacterial infection can spread to the bone and cause swelling or an abscess, which is even more painful and potentially life-threatening. So let our dental team take care of you right away.
We are located on the border of Costa Mesa, Newport Beach, and Irvine. We are very close to Huntington Beach and Tustin.
Jaw Pain and Tooth Sensitivity
Did you wake up with pain in your jaw, or across multiple teeth? Are the teeth on one side of your mouth suddenly sensitive to cold water, ice cream or drinks?
This worries lots of people, but at Enamel we can take x-rays and diagnose the problem right away. Usually, the problem is caused by grinding the teeth, or by a condition called “temporomandibular joint disorder” (TMJ).
Our lead dentist, Joseph Kabaklian, is very skilled at treating these problems and eliminating jaw pain and tooth sensitivity, so you don’t have to stray away from ice cream and cold drinks.
If you want relief from sensitivity or TMJ, simply book your emergency appointment online now using the yellow book online button—or call our office.
